Chris Sims explodes on ESPN over Jalen Hurts suspension (NSFW)

ESPN keeps dragging Chris Sims for commentary about the Eagles’ Galen Hurts, and Sims is sick of it.

Former NFL quarterback Chris Sims weighed in in the MVP debate a few weeks ago, being asked to pick one of Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen or Joe Burrow. Sims complimented Hurtz, but also said he had no arguments about the other three quarterbacks.

“If you put [Eagles backup quarterback] Gardner Minshaw [in for] Sims said at the time.

This was before Hurts was injured, and Mincio had to step in at the middle.

On Monday, Sims spoke out in his statement, which went viral and was shared by SportsCenter’s social media accounts.

“Jalen Hurts makes them better – I know!” On his podcast, Sims said Monday, In the New York Post. “F–k you,” SportsCenter Instagram for putting it back there for the third time in like three weeks. F–k off. Really, f–k off. Seriously. They didn’t put my quote out after the Cowboys game, but they’ll wait until the game yesterday.” .

Was Chris Sims Right About Jalen Hurts, Eagles?

Hopefully I won’t be the next person to feature a Sims rant on his podcast, but it’s proven untrue given Philly’s record without hurting the last two games. The Eagles lost to the harmless Cowboys and Saints, and are now in danger of losing the NFC East as a result.

Of course, analysts are allowed to be wrong. Simms predicted — and while he was correct in assuming Hurts shouldn’t be the MVP, especially now that he’s missed a few games — he was wrong in saying that Philly wasn’t going to lose much of a beat with Gardner Minshew at QB.

This wasn’t the same team without Hurts. ESPN’s act may be tiring, but if you make a bold move, don’t be surprised when it’s used against you.
